Club History
Al Ahly SCSC officially became a professional football club on April 19, 1947. Even before that, the club had been active for many years.
A Difficult Time
The year 2000 was very challenging for the club. The Libyan government at the time demolished the team's headquarters. This building held the club's training center, historical records, trophies, and medals.
This happened after some fans expressed their anger in ways the government disliked. As a result, the club was banned from playing for five years, until 2005. This was a tough period for the team and its supporters.
Later, the government gave the club a large piece of land (about 77 acres) to build a new home ground.
The Club's Crest
The crest, or logo, is an important symbol for the team.
A fun fact about Al Ahly's logo is that it's the only one in Libya to have a star on it before winning 10 league championships.
