Al-Ittihad Sport, Cultural & Social Club, often just called Al-Ittihad, is a professional football club from Tripoli, Libya. They are one of the most successful football teams in Libya.

Al-Ittihad has won many important trophies in Libya. They have won the Libyan Premier League 19 times. They also won the Libyan Cup 7 times and the Libyan SuperCup 11 times. The club even reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2010.

Club History: How Al-Ittihad Started

Al-Ittihad Club was started on July 29, 1944. It was formed when three smaller clubs joined together. These clubs were "Al Ummal", "Al Nahda", and "Al Shabab". Mohamed Al-Krewi was the person who founded the club. He also became its first president.

Home Stadium: Where They Play

Al-Ittihad plays their home games at the Tripoli Stadium. This stadium is about 6 kilometers from the center of Tripoli. It can hold 65,000 fans. Al-Ittihad shares this stadium with two other clubs, Al-Ahl Tripoli and Al Madina.

The club also owns a smaller stadium called Al Mala'b Al Baladi. This stadium can hold 5,000 people. It is located in central Tripoli and is now mainly used for training.
