Albligen was a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the Canton of Bern, which is a state in Switzerland. Its old French name was Albenon.
On January 1, 2011, Albligen joined with another nearby town called Wahlern. Together, they formed a new, larger town named Schwarzenburg.

Albligen is a very old place. The first time it was mentioned in writing was in the year 1346. Back then, its name was spelled Alblingen.
