Alfred Lewis Enoch (born on December 2, 1988) is a talented actor from both Britain and Brazil. He is famous for playing Dean Thomas in the magical Harry Potter movies. He also played Wes Gibbins in the exciting TV show How to Get Away with Murder.

Alfred Enoch's Early Life and School
Alfred Enoch was born in Westminster, London, on December 2, 1988. His father was the actor William Russell, and his mother was Etheline Margareth Lewis, a doctor from Brazil. Alfred has both British and Brazilian citizenship.
When he was very young, around two or three, he lived with his parents in southern France. He went to Westminster School, a well-known school in London.
Alfred is very good with languages! He speaks English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently. He studied Modern Languages at the Queen's College, Oxford university.
Alfred Enoch's Acting Career
Alfred Enoch started his acting journey in 2001. His first big role was Dean Thomas in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He wasn't sure about auditioning at first because he didn't know many black characters in the Harry Potter books. But he tried out and ended up playing Dean Thomas in all the Harry Potter films! He also lent his voice to Dean in some of the Harry Potter video games.
After the Harry Potter movies, Alfred acted in many plays in London. These included famous plays like Coriolanus and Antigone. He also appeared in an episode of the TV show Sherlock called "The Sign of Three".
In 2014, Alfred got a main role as Wes Gibbins in the TV series How to Get Away with Murder. This show was produced by Shonda Rhimes.
In 2016, Alfred played two characters, Edgar and Poor Tom, in a play called King Lear. People really liked his performance and how he brought the characters to life.
He returned to the West End in 2018 for a play called Red, where he acted alongside Alfred Molina. That same year, he played Aeneas in the TV show Troy: Fall of a City. The next year, Alfred took on the main role of Jamie McCain in the BBC drama Trust Me.
In 2020, Alfred Enoch came back to How to Get Away with Murder for two episodes. He played an older version of Christopher Castillo, who was Wes's son. In 2021, he played Romeo in a play of Romeo and Juliet at the Globe Theatre in London. He also appeared in the science fiction series Foundation and a movie called The Picture of Dorian Gray.
In 2022, Alfred was part of the special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. He also acted in a film called This is Christmas. More recently, in 2023, he played Pete in the TV series The Couple Next Door and Tom in the movie The Critic.
