Aloyzas Kveinys (July 9, 1962 – July 26, 2018) was a talented Lithuanian chess player. He earned the highest title in chess, called Grandmaster, in 1992.

About Aloyzas Kveinys
Aloyzas Kveinys was a very skilled chess player. In 1981, he received the Soviet Master of Sport title for chess. This was a special award for top athletes.
He won the Lithuanian Chess Championship five times! These wins were in 1983, 1986, 2001, 2008, and 2012. Sometimes he shared the win with another player.
Kveinys also won several international tournaments. He won a tournament in Moss, Norway in 2010. In 2013, he won the Mallorca Masters. He also won the Chess Festival in Bad Wörishofen in 2016.
He earned the International Master title in 1990. Two years later, in 1992, he became a Grandmaster. He studied chess at the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
