Anil Baijal was also the CEO of Prasar Bharati. This is India's public broadcasting agency, which runs TV and radio channels. He helped introduce DD Bharti, a special TV channel. He also worked as a Commissioner in Delhi and helped with India's aid mission in Nepal.

After Retirement

Anil Baijal retired from full-time government service in 2006. His last role was as Secretary of the Urban Development Ministry. Even after retiring, he continued to work on important projects.
