Anya Chalotra (born in 1995 or 1996) is a talented English actress. She started her acting journey in 2017 in a play called Much Ado About Nothing. Soon after, she appeared on TV in BBC shows like Wanderlust and The ABC Murders in 2018. She became widely known for her main role as Yennefer of Vengerberg in the popular Netflix series The Witcher.

Early Life

Anya Chalotra was born in Wolverhampton, England. Her mother is English, and her father is Indian. His family comes from the Pathankot area in Punjab, India. Anya grew up in a small village called Lower Penn with her parents, older sister, and younger brother.

She went to St Dominic's Grammar School in Brewood. Anya began acting in school plays and local youth theatre groups. Later, she moved to London to study acting. She completed a special course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After that, she earned a degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. This training helped her start her professional acting career.

Anya Chalotra has performed in many stage plays. In 2017, she played the character Hero in Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare's Globe.
