Ashley Guy Sheppard, born on January 21, 1969, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). A linebacker is a player who helps stop the other team from scoring. Ashley played for three NFL teams: the Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, and St. Louis Rams. He was chosen by the Vikings in the 1993 NFL draft. Before playing professionally, he played college football at Clemson University. He went to high school at North Pitt High School and then Fork Union Military Academy.

Playing in the NFL

Ashley Sheppard was picked by the Minnesota Vikings in the 1993 NFL draft. He was the 106th player chosen overall. He officially joined the team on July 17, 1993.

Time with the Vikings

Sheppard played in 17 games for the Vikings during the 1993 and 1994 seasons. He was released by the team in August 1995. Later that year, in November, he signed with the Vikings again. However, he was released in December without playing in any games during that second time.

Playing for the Jaguars

After leaving the Vikings in August 1995, Sheppard signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played in two games for the Jaguars during the 1995 season. His time with the Jaguars was short, as he was released in September 1995.

Joining the Rams

Ashley Sheppard then signed with the St. Louis Rams in December 1995. He played in two games for the Rams that same year. He was released by the Rams in August 1996.
