Ayer is a small village in Switzerland. It is located in the Valais area. Until 2009, Ayer was its own town. But then it joined with five other villages like Chandolin and Grimentz. Together, they formed a new, bigger town called Anniviers.

Ayer is quite an old place! The first time it was ever written about was in the year 1296. This means people have lived and worked there for a very long time.
