The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Resort and Spa is a fancy hotel and spa. It is built in a Spanish style. You can find it in Goleta, California, close to Santa Barbara, California.
The resort opened in the year 2000. It cost about $222 million to build. Bacara has 311 guest rooms and 49 special suites. All rooms have a balcony or a private patio. Some of the most expensive suites can cost up to $10,000 for one night!

What You Can Do at Bacara
The Bacara resort offers many fun things to do. It has three restaurants and four bars. There is also a large spa that is 42,000 square feet. All of this is on the resort's 78-acre beachfront property.
Sports and Fun
The resort has a tennis center with four special clay tennis courts. There are also two 18-hole golf courses nearby. You can swim in one of the three pools.
Movies and Events
Bacara has a screening room with 220 seats. This is great for watching movies. It is less than two hours away from Los Angeles. Many people from Hollywood visit the resort. The screening room is also used for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
In 2005, the Bacara Resort was sold to a company called P3 Development, NA Inc.

Bacara has several places to eat. One of its top restaurants is called Angel Oak. It serves a type of food called Basque-Catalan cuisine. This food uses vegetables grown right on the resort's own 1,000-acre ranch. Alexander Bollinger is the main chef at Angel Oak.

Many famous people have chosen Bacara for their weddings. These include Hollywood couples like Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt. Fergie and Josh Duhamel also got married there.
Other stars who celebrated their weddings at Bacara include Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler. Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli also had their special day there. Charlie Sheen’s daughter, Casandra Estevez, also got married at the resort.
Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler had a unique wedding in 2004. Their wedding theme was based on the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Sarah Michelle Gellar, famous for playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was a bridesmaid at her manager's wedding at Bacara.
