How Water Flows Through Bearskin Lake
Water is always moving in and out of Bearskin Lake. The main river that flows into the lake is called the Morrison River. This river enters the lake from the south side. There are also two other smaller streams that flow into the lake from the south and southeast.
The Morrison River also flows out of Bearskin Lake. It leaves the lake from the north side. From there, the Morrison River travels through Sachigo Lake. It then joins the Sachigo River and finally the Severn River. All this water eventually reaches Hudson Bay. This journey shows how interconnected all the waterways are!
Bearskin Lake and the First Nation People

The Bearskin Lake First Nation lived near this lake for many years. However, in the 1930s, they moved to a new location. Their new home is at Michikan Lake, which is about 50 kilometers (31 miles) northeast of Bearskin Lake. This move was an important event in their history.
