Beaverdam Brook begins in central East Brunswick. Its starting point is near the intersection of Ryders Lane (CR-617) and Dunhams Corner Road. This spot is at 40°25′33″N 74°25′44″W / 40.42583°N 74.42889°W.
The brook flows under Dutch Road and also passes beneath the New Jersey Turnpike. It then goes under Hardenburg Lane. After that, it flows through the Tamarack County Golf Course.
Further along its path, Beaverdam Brook crosses Fresh Ponds Road and Riva Avenue. Finally, it empties into Farrington Lake. Farrington Lake is actually a part of Lawrence Brook that has been dammed. The brook joins the lake at 40°25′53″N 74°28′18″W / 40.43139°N 74.47167°W.
