Beinn Teallach is a mountain in the beautiful Grampian Mountains of Scotland. It stands tall at 914.6 meters (about 3,000 feet). This mountain is located east of a small village called Roybridge in an area known as Lochaber.
Beinn Teallach looks mostly rounded, but it has a very steep side facing east. It's famous for being the smallest mountain in Scotland to be called a Munro.

What is a Munro?
A Munro is a special name for a mountain in Scotland that is over 3,000 feet (or 914.4 meters) high. There are 282 Munros in total! People love to hike and "bag" (climb) all of them.
Beinn Teallach's Special Status
For a long time, people thought Beinn Teallach was a "Corbett." A Corbett is another type of Scottish mountain, a bit smaller than a Munro, between 2,500 and 3,000 feet tall.
But then, surveyors measured Beinn Teallach very carefully. They found it was just 20 centimeters (about 8 inches) taller than the 914.4-meter mark! This tiny difference made it a Munro, making it the smallest one in Scotland.
Where is Beinn Teallach Located?
Beinn Teallach is found in the Grampian Mountains, a large mountain range in the Scottish Highlands. It's in the Lochaber area, which is known for its stunning landscapes.
The mountain is quite close to the village of Roybridge. This makes it a good starting point for adventurers.
