Belrose is a suburb located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is about 19 kilometres north-east of the main city centre of Sydney. Belrose is part of the Northern Beaches Council area. People often call this region "The Forest" because of its many trees and natural areas.

What's the Story Behind Belrose?

The name 'Belrose' has a cool origin story! It's believed to come from two beautiful flowers that grew a lot in the area. These were the Christmas Bell and the bush rose.

Belrose used to have its own Post Office, which opened on September 4, 1923. It closed down in 1986. Later, another one called Belrose West Post Office opened in 1969.
