Bhuvneshwar Kumar Singh (born 5 February 1990) is a famous Indian cricketer. He has played for the Indian national team in all three main types of cricket: Test, One Day International (ODI), and Twenty20 International (T20I). He is known for being a right-arm fast-medium bowler who can make the cricket ball move in the air, which is called "swinging" the ball.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was part of the Indian team that won the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He also made history by being the first bowler to win the Purple Cap in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for two years in a row. The Purple Cap is given to the bowler who takes the most wickets in an IPL season.
He started playing international cricket in December 2012 against Pakistan. In his very first T20I match, he took three wickets. He then played his first ODI match and took a wicket with his very first ball! He is also the only Indian bowler to take five wickets in a single match in all three formats of the game (Test, ODI, and T20I).
