The Story of Bikanervala
The story of Bikanervala began in 1950. Two brothers, Kedarnath and Satyanarayan Aggarwal, moved to Delhi from Bikaner. They wanted to grow their family business of making traditional sweets and snacks.
At first, the brothers set up a small stall in Chandni Chowk. They called it Bikaner Bhujia Bhandar. This name means "Bikaneri bhujia store." In the 1960s, they started making even more kinds of traditional sweets and savory snacks called namkeens. They opened several shops in important parts of Delhi, like Karol Bagh, and named them Bikanervala.
In 1968, Shyam Sundar Aggarwal joined the family business. He was 16 years old and had just finished high school. He learned how to make sweets from his father. In the 1980s, fast food like pizza became popular in India. Shyam Sundar Aggarwal saw a chance to make Indian snacks and sweets more popular too. So, the company opened many more shops across the country.
To share their brand with the world, they launched Bikano in 1988. Bikano sells packaged sweets and namkeens. In 1995, Bikanervala even worked with PepsiCo to make namkeens for their brand, Lehar. This led to a new factory in Faridabad, Haryana.
In 2003, the company opened Bikano Chat Cafes. These are quick restaurants where you can get fast food with simple service. The Bikanervala and Angan restaurants still serve traditional Indian snacks, sweets, and namkeens. The company also opened a special hotel in Hyderabad.

Bikanervala has many locations! In India, there are 42 shops just in the Delhi area. You can also find 12 shops in the UAE and 7 in Nepal. Bikanervala also has shops in New Zealand, Singapore, and the US. They recently opened a new shop in Qatar.
The company makes its products in factories located in Delhi, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and in Faridabad and Rai in Haryana.
Bikano products are sent to almost 30 countries around the world. These include Nepal, Pakistan, the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, and South Africa.
Awards and Recognition
Bikanervala has received special recognition for its delicious sweets. The Times of India newspaper gave the company an award for being one of the Best Sweet Shops in Delhi. They won this award in 2012, 2013, and 2014!
