Golden Glades is found in the northeastern part of Miami-Dade County. It's about 11 miles (18 km) north of downtown Miami.

The Golden Glades Interchange
The famous Golden Glades Interchange is located on the northern side of the community. From this interchange, you can easily reach many places:
- Interstate 95 goes south to downtown Miami (about 11 miles or 18 km) and north to Fort Lauderdale (about 15 miles or 24 km).
- Florida's Turnpike heads north, running alongside I-95 but a bit further inland.
- The Palmetto Expressway goes west and then south, reaching U.S. Route 1 in Pinecrest (about 23 miles or 37 km away).
- State Road 9 is a local road that goes southwest to the center of Opa-locka (about 3 miles or 5 km).
- U.S. 441 runs south, parallel to I-95, all the way to downtown Miami.
