Bliss is a small community in Wyoming County, New York, in the United States. It is the largest hamlet (a small settlement, bigger than a village but smaller than a town) and a census-designated place (CDP). A CDP is an area that looks like a town but isn't officially set up as one.
In 2010, about 527 people lived in Bliss. It is located in the town of Eagle.
Where is Bliss?
Bliss is in the southern part of Wyoming County, New York. It sits in the middle and northern parts of the town of Eagle. To the north, it shares a border with the town of Wethersfield.
The community is in the valley of Wiscoy Creek. This creek flows east and south into the Genesee River. The Genesee River eventually leads to Lake Ontario.
Roads and Travel
Two main roads pass through Bliss. New York State Route 39 goes through the southern side of Bliss. This road follows the Wiscoy Creek valley. If you go east on Route 39, you will reach Pike in about 6 miles. Going west for about 10 miles will take you to Arcade.
State Route 362 runs right through the center of Bliss. It starts at Route 39 on the south side. From there, it heads north for about 4 miles to connect with Route 78 in Wethersfield.
