Early Life and High School
Bradley Chubb grew up playing football. He attended Hillgrove High School in Georgia. There, he played both linebacker and defensive end. These positions are important for stopping the other team's offense. He helped his high school team reach the quarterfinals in Georgia's 6A division.
On his 17th birthday, June 24, 2013, Bradley decided to play college football for North Carolina State University. He also had offers from other well-known universities.
College Football Career
Starting at NC State
When Bradley first started at NC State, he played mostly on special teams. These are plays like kickoffs and punts. Before his second year, he changed his main position. He moved from outside linebacker to defensive end. This change helped him become a starter on the team.
In his third year, Bradley continued to be a starter. He also became a leader for his team off the field. He was one of the best players in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for "tackles for loss." A tackle for loss means stopping an opponent behind their starting line. During the 2016 Independence Bowl game, he made a big play. He sacked the opposing quarterback, Kyle Shurmur.
Senior Year Highlights
Bradley's senior year was full of exciting moments. After a big win against Florida State, he showed some disrespect to their team logo. He later apologized for this action. He explained that some Florida State players had made negative comments online earlier.
In another game against Clemson, Bradley tried to take the opposing quarterback's towel three times. After the third time, a Clemson player stopped him. Bradley talked with officials but did not get a penalty. A week later, he played against Boston College. In that game, he made two and a half sacks. A sack is when a defensive player tackles the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage. This made him the all-time sack leader for the NC State Wolfpack. He also became the Wolfpack leader in tackles for loss.
College Achievements
During his senior season, Bradley had ten sacks. Almost a third of his 72 tackles were tackles for loss. He had 23 tackles for loss, which was second-best among all NCAA Division I players in 2017.
After this amazing season, he received many awards. He was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He was also chosen for the first-team All-ACC and first-team All-America teams. He won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Ted Hendricks Award. These awards recognize the best defensive players in college football.

He came back strong in 2020. In Week 4, he had 2.5 sacks against the New York Jets. In December 2020, he was chosen for the 2021 Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl is an all-star game for the best players in the NFL. He finished the 2020 season with 7.5 sacks and 42 tackles.

In January 2023, Bradley was named to his second Pro Bowl. He was chosen as a replacement player.
In Week 15 of the 2023 season, Bradley had an amazing game against the New York Jets. He recorded seven tackles, three sacks, and two forced fumbles. He also recovered a fumble. For this great performance, he was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week. Unfortunately, he suffered another torn ACL in Week 17 and missed the rest of the season.
