Brandin Adar Knight, born on December 16, 1981, is an American basketball coach. He used to be a professional basketball player. Today, he is the associate head coach for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights basketball team.

Early Life and High School
Brandin Knight grew up in East Orange, New Jersey. He played high school basketball at Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, New Jersey. Brandin is also the brother of another basketball player, Brevin Knight.
College Basketball Career
Brandin Knight played as a point guard for the Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team. He was 6 feet tall. During his time at Pittsburgh, he scored a total of 1,440 points.
In the 2002-2003 season, Brandin was chosen as one of the top ten players for the Wooden All-American team. He also received an honorable mention as an All-American from the Associated Press that same season. In the 2001-2002 season, he was named a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press. Sporting News also named him a Second Team All-American.
During the 2001-2002 season, Knight received several important awards. He was named the Big East Conference co-Player of the Year. He was also recognized as the Most Improved Player in the Big East Conference. He made the First Team All-Big East and was part of the All-Big East tournament team. In the 2002-2003 season, he earned Second Team All-Big East honors.
Brandin Knight set several school records at Pitt. He holds the record for the most assists in a career (785). He also has the highest career average for assists (6.2 assists per game). Knight also holds the record for the most steals in a career (298). In the 2001-2002 season, he set records for season assists (251) and minutes played (1,284). To honor his achievements, Pitt retired his jersey number 20 on March 4, 2009.
Professional Playing Career
After college, Brandin Knight played professional basketball for two seasons. He played for the Asheville Altitude team in the NBDL (now called the NBA G League). He later signed a contract with the NBA team, the Houston Rockets. However, he got an injury just two weeks later. This injury unfortunately ended his playing career.
Coaching Career
After his playing career ended, Brandin Knight began working in basketball operations. In the 2007-2008 season, he was the Director of Basketball Operations for the Pittsburgh men's basketball team. In June 2008, he was promoted to an assistant coach at Pittsburgh. He stayed in this role for eight seasons.
On April 13, 2016, Brandin Knight became the new assistant head coach for the Rutgers basketball team. He has been coaching at Rutgers since then, and as of 2021, he holds the title of associate head coach.
