Burtchville Township is a community located in St. Clair County, Michigan, in the United States. It is a type of local government area called a civil township. In 2020, about 4,077 people lived here.

The township is named after Jonathon Burtch, a lumberman who settled in the area in 1840. He became the first leader, known as the supervisor, when the township was officially formed in 1862.

Burtchville Village

  • Burtchville was once a separate village located on the Black River.

  • He recorded it officially as "Lakeport" in August 1858.
  • Lakeport had a post office from June 1857 until April 1911.
