Camilla Belle Routh (born October 2, 1986), known to fans as Camilla Belle, is an American actress. She grew up in Los Angeles, California, and started her acting career in TV commercials. Her first big role was in the thriller movie Trapped Beneath the Earth in 1992.
Since then, Camilla has starred in many movies and TV shows. You might have seen her in The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Practical Magic (1998), the Disney Channel movie Rip Girls (2000), or the action movie 10,000 BC (2008). She has also acted in independent films, which are movies made outside of big Hollywood studios, like The Quiet (2005).
Besides acting, Camilla has been a model for famous brands. She was the face of Vera Wang's "Princess" perfume and appeared in ads for Nespresso and Cotton. She is also known for her great sense of style and won a Young Hollywood Style Icon award in 2011.

Early life
Camilla was born on October 2, 1986, and is an only child. Her mother, Deborah, is from Brazil, and her father, Jack, was a country music singer and songwriter. Because of her mom's background, Camilla grew up speaking both English and Portuguese.
She often visited her family in Brazil when she was young. She went to Marlborough School, an all-girls high school in Los Angeles. She was raised in the Roman Catholic faith.
Career
Childhood Acting
Camilla's career began when she was just a child. She appeared in TV commercials for brands like Cabbage Patch Kids and Campbell's Soup. When she was five, she got her first main role in the NBC movie Trouble Shooter: Trapped Beneath the Earth.
In 1995, she was in the movie A Little Princess. Two years later, she played Cathy Bowman in the big-budget dinosaur movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park. In the film, her character is a young girl who gets attacked by a group of small dinosaurs called Compsognathus.
In 1998, she played the younger version of Sandra Bullock's character in Practical Magic. This role earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. She also got a nomination for a guest role on the TV show Walker: Texas Ranger.
Teen and Adult Roles
Camilla continued to act in her teens. She starred in the Disney Channel movie Rip Girls (2000), which earned her another Young Artist Award nomination. After a short break from acting, she returned in the independent film The Quiet (2005).
In 2006, she starred in the horror movie remake When a Stranger Calls. In the film, she plays a babysitter who gets scary phone calls. The movie was a box office success. That same year, she became the model for Vera Wang's "Princess" perfume.
One of her biggest roles was in the 2008 action-adventure film 10,000 BC, directed by Roland Emmerich. The movie made over $269 million around the world.
Recent Work
In recent years, Camilla has continued to work on interesting projects. In 2017, she was in the drama The Mad Whale, which was a student project produced by James Franco's studio.
In 2022, she had a recurring role as Pearl Serrano in the crime drama series Law & Order: Organized Crime. She also starred in the Netflix movie Carter and the romantic comedy 10 Truths About Love. She has also appeared in music videos, including one for the Jonas Brothers song "Lovebug" and for Ben Barnes' song "Beloved".
Personal life
Camilla Belle dated singer Joe Jonas from late 2008 to mid-2009. They met when she starred in the music video for the Jonas Brothers' song "Lovebug". She also briefly dated American football player Tim Tebow in 2012.
