Camilla Belle Routh (born October 2, 1986), known as Camilla Belle, is an American actress. She was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Camilla started acting in many TV commercials. Her first main role was in the NBC thriller movie Trapped Beneath the Earth in 1992.
Since then, she has been in many movies and TV shows. Some of her well-known roles include The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Practical Magic (1998), Rip Girls (2000), and 10,000 BC (2008). Camilla Belle has also acted in independent films like The Quiet (2005) and The Mad Whale (2017). Besides acting, she has been a model for Vera Wang's "Princess" perfume. She has also appeared in ads for brands like Nespresso and Cotton. Camilla is also known for her great fashion sense. She has been on the covers of many fashion magazines. In 2011, she won the Young Hollywood Style Icon award at the Young Hollywood Awards.

Her Early Life
Camilla Belle was born on October 2, 1986. She is the only child of Deborah Cristina Gould, who is from Brazil, and Jack Wesley Routh, a country music singer and writer. She went to Marlborough School, an all-girls high school in Los Angeles. Camilla grew up speaking both English and Portuguese. As a child, she often visited her mother's family in Brazil. She was raised in the Roman Catholic faith.

Starting Young
Camilla Belle started acting when she was a child. She appeared in TV commercials for popular brands. These included Cabbage Patch Kids, Campbell's Soup, and Public Broadcasting System. When she was five, Camilla got her first main role in a movie. It was the NBC thriller Trouble Shooter: Trapped Beneath the Earth (1993).
In 1995, she was in A Little Princess, a movie based on a famous book. She also played Cathy Bowman in the science fiction movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997). In this film, her character was a young British girl attacked by small dinosaurs. In 1998, she played Aubrey Shepard in the radio show Adventures in Odyssey. She also played Steven Seagal's daughter in The Patriot (1998). She was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 1999 for playing a younger version of Sandra Bullock's character in Practical Magic (1998). She also got another nomination for her role in the TV series Walker: Texas Ranger.
Big Roles and Beyond
Camilla received more Young Artist Award nominations for the TV movie Replacing Dad (1999). She also got a nomination for her first main role in a Disney Channel TV movie, Rip Girls (2000). Belle then played the main role in Back to the Secret Garden (2001). After this, she took a break from acting. She returned with a role in the independent film The Quiet (2005). In 2006, she became the face of Vera Wang's "Princess" perfume. She appeared in print ads and TV commercials for the brand. Belle starred as Carina in the Tubi movie 10 Truths About Love (2022). This movie was part of the platform's Valentine's Day special. In 2023, the film was released as Love Can Surprise You. She also appeared in a music video for Ben Barnes' song "Beloved" in 2024.
Personal Life
Camilla Belle dated singer Joe Jonas from September 2008 to July 2009. They met while filming the Jonas Brothers music video "Lovebug". She also briefly dated American football player Tim Tebow in late 2012.
