Casino Rama is a large entertainment complex in Rama, Ontario, Canada. It is built on land belonging to the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. This big place has a casino, a hotel, and a special area for live shows.

The Chippewas of Rama First Nation and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation own Casino Rama together. A company called Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited manages how the casino operates. It is the biggest casino run by a First Nation in Canada.

When Casino Rama Opened

Casino Rama first opened its doors on July 31, 1996. It has been a popular spot for entertainment ever since.

Updates and Changes

In 2013, Casino Rama had a big renovation. Many parts of the building were updated and improved.

Recent Status

Casino Rama has been closed since March 16, 2020. This was due to health and safety rules. There has been no date set for when it will open again.

What You Can Find at Casino Rama

Hotel and Gaming Area

The resort has a hotel with 289 rooms. The casino floor is very large, about 192,000 square feet. Inside the casino, there are 2,500 slot machines. You can also find 110 different table games to play.

Entertainment Centre

Casino Rama has a large Entertainment Centre. It can hold up to 5,000 people. This center is used for many different live shows and events.

There are ten different restaurants at Casino Rama. They offer many types of food for visitors.

Casino Rama has also been a place for live sports. It has hosted many boxing events. These events were called "Rumble at Rama."
