For example, some groups like the Pygmy peoples have lived in the rainforests for thousands of years. They have a deep knowledge of the forest and its resources. Art from countries like Cameroon often includes beautiful sculptures and masks. Fishing is also a common activity in many parts of the region, especially near rivers and lakes.
