Chavara Thekkumbhagom, also known as Chavara South, is a special island village in the Kollam District of Kerala, India. It's about 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) away from Kollam City. This village is surrounded by the beautiful Ashtamudi Lake and is also close to the Indian Ocean.
