María Jesús Lampreave Pérez (born December 11, 1930 – died April 4, 2016), known as Chus Lampreave, was a famous Spanish actress. She acted in over 70 movies! Many people around the world know her from the films made by Pedro Almodóvar. She was especially good at playing interesting and funny characters.

How Chus Lampreave Started Acting
Chus Lampreave was born in Madrid, Spain. She first wanted to be a painter. She even studied art at a famous school called the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. After that, she worked as an illustrator, drawing pictures for a publishing company.
Becoming an actress was not her original plan. However, a director named Jaime de Armiñán discovered her talent. She began appearing in movies in 1959.

Chus Lampreave worked with the famous director Pedro Almodóvar many times. Her first movie with him was Entre tinieblas in 1983. She acted in eight of his films in total!
