Chêne-Pâquier is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the canton of Vaud. This town is part of the Jura-Nord Vaudois area.

History of Chêne-Pâquier
The area of Chêne-Pâquier has a long history. The village of Pâquier was first written about in 1462. It was called Pascua back then. Later, in 1517, it was known as Pasquier. The other village, Chêne, was first mentioned in 1550 as loz Chanoz.
Geography of Chêne-Pâquier
Chêne-Pâquier covers an area of about 2.1 square kilometers (0.8 square miles). Most of this land, about 68.9%, is used for farming. This means people grow crops or raise animals there. Forests cover about 24.1% of the area. The remaining 5.2% of the land is used for buildings and roads.
About 0.9% of the town's area has houses and other buildings. Roads and other transport areas make up 3.8%. In the forested areas, 22.6% is dense forest. Another 1.4% has orchards or small groups of trees. For farming, 60.8% of the land is used for growing crops. The other 7.5% is used for pastures where animals graze.
Chêne-Pâquier used to be part of the Yverdon District. This district was closed on August 31, 2006. After that, Chêne-Pâquier became part of the new Jura-Nord Vaudois district. The municipality includes two small villages, called hamlets: Le Chêne and Le Pâquier.
