Building the Arena
The Connexin Live arena was built on a special kind of land called a brownfield site. This means it was land that had been used before, perhaps for factories, and was then cleaned up to build something new. It sits between the Humber Estuary and the city centre of Hull.
To make the building strong, steel from a nearby town called Scunthorpe was used. This helped support local businesses.
In 2018, a company called Bonus Group got the "naming rights" for the arena. This meant they paid money so the arena could be named after their company. Later, in August 2023, another local company called Connexin took over these naming rights. That's why the arena is now called Connexin Live!
