Constantino Romero García (born May 29, 1947 – died May 12, 2013) was a famous Spanish actor and TV presenter. He was best known for his deep, powerful voice. This voice made him a top choice for dubbing (which means lending your voice to a character or actor in another language). He voiced many well-known actors like Clint Eastwood, James Earl Jones, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in movies like Terminator and The Expendables.

Early Life and Career Beginnings
Constantino Romero was born in Alcalá de Henares, Spain. He grew up in a town called Chinchilla de Monte-Aragón. His career started in radio, where he worked as an announcer. He worked for Radio Barcelona and RNE. In 1985, he moved to television. His first TV show was called Ya sé que tienes novio.
From 1987 to 1992, he became very popular as the host of the game show El tiempo es oro on TVE. He later worked for other TV channels like Antena 3 and regional TV stations. He even filled in for another presenter on the popular show Pasapalabra. Constantino also performed in plays and musicals. He gave his voice to the scary plant in the musical Little Shop of Horrors.
His Amazing Voice: Dubbing Famous Characters
Constantino Romero was truly famous for his voice-over work. He was the Spanish voice for many iconic characters and actors. Imagine hearing his voice as James T. Kirk in Star Trek! He also voiced Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in the Terminator movies.
He was the voice of James Bond (played by Roger Moore) and even Darth Vader from Star Wars! Disney fans will know his voice as Mufasa in The Lion King. He also voiced Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre-Dame and Shere Khan in The Jungle Book 2.
Awards and Retirement
Constantino Romero won several awards for his work. In 1999, he received an Antena de Oro Award. He also won two TP de Oro awards.
He decided to retire on December 12, 2012. His very last voice-over job was for the movie Trouble with the Curve. He shared his retirement news on Twitter, saying: "Thanks for the affection. It's been 47 years of work. And a whole life. Radio, TV, theatre, dubbing. It's been worth it. A hug. That's all folks! " He always felt that the best part of his job was the people who enjoyed his work.
Sadly, Constantino Romero passed away on May 12, 2013, in Barcelona. He was almost 66 years old. He was laid to rest at the Cemetery of Montjuïc.
