Cottonwood Cove is a popular spot located on the banks of Lake Mohave. This lake sits right on the border between Nevada and Arizona. You can find it in Clark County, Nevada.
The cove is about 13 miles (21 kilometers) east of Searchlight. It is also 12.5 miles (20 kilometers) north of Laughlin. If you are coming from Las Vegas, it's about an hour's drive.
Cottonwood Cove is home to the Cottonwood Cove Resort and Marina. This area is part of the large Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The U.S. National Park Service takes care of this special place. Lake Mohave is a desert lake. It stretches for about 67 miles (108 kilometers). The lake is held back by the Davis Dam, which is built on the Colorado River.
