Courtney Bowman is a talented English actress and singer. She was born on February 1, 1995. Courtney is well-known for her amazing performances in popular musicals. She played Fatimah in Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Anne Boleyn in Six. She also starred as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. Currently, Courtney is touring the UK and Europe as Lauren in the musical Kinky Boots. You might also know her from the TV show Big Cook, Little Cook on CBeebies, where she plays Little Cook Small.

Early Life and Training
Courtney Bowman grew up in Boston, Lincolnshire, England. She has a mixed heritage, being half Cape Verdean. Courtney describes herself as Afro-European. She went to Boston High School from age eleven to eighteen.
After high school, Courtney trained at the Guildford School of Acting. She studied there for three years and graduated in 2016. During her training, Courtney showed off her singing skills. In 2016, she won the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year award. This award came with a £1,000 prize!

Starting on Stage
In 2015, Courtney performed as a chorister for Josh Groban on Stage. The next year, she was a soloist in Sam Bailey's concert, Sam Bailey: In Concert.
In November 2016, Courtney joined the original cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie. This musical first played at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. She played the role of Fatimah. The show was a big hit! Because of its success, it moved to the West End in London in late 2017. Courtney continued her role as Fatimah there.
A special filmed version of Everybody's Talking About Jamie was shown in cinemas worldwide. Courtney was in this filmed version, so many more people got to see her perform!
Becoming a Queen in Six
In June 2019, it was announced that Courtney would join the cast of Six. She started playing Anne Boleyn on October 15, 2019. Six is a very popular musical about the wives of King Henry VIII.
Courtney played Anne Boleyn in the West End production of Six from 2019 to 2021. She returned to the show when theatres reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic. Her final performance in Six was on November 14, 2021.
New Roles and TV Appearances
Courtney has also performed in solo concerts. She had a concert at Pizza Express, Holborn in March 2020. She also did a special recorded concert at the Arts Theatre in September 2020.
In February 2022, exciting news came out! Courtney would star in a new series of the children's cooking show Big Cook, Little Cook. She plays Little Cook Small on CBeebies. The show started airing daily on February 28, 2022.
In March 2022, Courtney was announced for a leading role. She would play Elle Woods in the musical Legally Blonde at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. She also performed as Lauren in a concert version of Kinky Boots in August 2022.
Later in 2022, Courtney hosted the annual UK Theatre Awards. This big event took place at the Guildhall, London. She also joined the cast of Pretty Woman: The Musical in the West End. She played the role of Kit de Luca at the Savoy Theatre.
Recent Achievements
In February 2023, Courtney co-hosted the 2023 WhatsOnStage Awards. She also won a major award that night! She received the first-ever gender-neutral WhatsOnStage Award for 'Best Performer in a Musical'. This was for her amazing performance as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.
From November 2023 to January 2024, Courtney starred in the Canterbury pantomime production of Aladdin. She played the magical Spirit of the Ring. Her performance earned her a nomination for 'Best Magical Being' at The Pantomime Awards.
In April 2024, Courtney took part in a special 10th-anniversary concert. It was for the musical Cool Rider at The London Palladium. She played the role of Sharon.
In September 2024, it was announced that Courtney would play Lauren in the UK and European Tour of Kinky Boots. This is a role she had performed before in a one-night concert. The tour is currently ongoing in 2025.
