Covington is a town in Wyoming County, New York. It is located on the eastern side of the county. In 2010, about 1,231 people lived there. The town was named after a famous person, General Leonard Covington.

History of Covington
The Town of Covington was created in 1817. It was formed from parts of two other towns. These towns were Perry and Le Roy. At that time, Le Roy was in Genesee County.

A stream called the Oatka Creek flows through the Wyoming Valley in the town.
