Cugy is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Gros-de-Vaud area of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It's a peaceful place known for its natural surroundings.

A Look Back: Cugy's History

Cugy has a long history! It was first mentioned in old writings way back around the years 968-85. Back then, it was called in villa Cuzziaco. Later, in 1147, its name changed slightly to Cusi.

Cugy covers an area of about 2.9 square kilometers (about 1.1 square miles). A big part of this land, about 36.6%, is used for farming. Another large portion, about 36.9%, is covered by forests. The remaining 26.6% of the land has buildings and roads.
