DWAO-TV is a television station in the Philippines. It broadcasts on Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Channel 37. This station is the main channel for Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (PBC). Alfredo "Atom" Henares owns PBC.

The station is known as UNTV News and Rescue/Public Service. It used to be called UNTV-37 and UNTV Life. Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International, Inc. (BMPI) runs the station. Veteran broadcaster Daniel Razon leads BMPI. DWAO-TV is one of the few stations worldwide that broadcasts on channel 37 using the NTSC system. Its main studios are in Caloocan City. The transmitter is located in Antipolo.

The Story of UNTV

In July 2001, Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) started its UHF television channel. It was called UNTV 37. At first, it was like a TV version of PBC's radio station, NU 107. It showed rock and alternative rock music videos. The station became popular for its comedy and reality shows.

Around 2004, UNTV started showing fewer music videos. Veteran broadcaster Jay Sonza's company, Tapatan, Inc., began using the airtime. The station also started airing religious programs from the Ang Dating Daan group. This happened after Alfredo Henares made a deal with them. UNTV then became the permanent home for the religious program Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path). The station was later renamed "UN Television (UNTV)".

The new UNTV began in a small, one-room studio. This studio was in Pasig City. In 2006, the station moved to a bigger space in Quezon City. This was because its public service activities were growing. By 2008, UNTV moved to its own building in Quezon City.

Since then, UNTV has broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It shows news, entertainment, and religious programs. In 2007, Breakthrough and Milestones Production International (BMPI) took over the network's main operations. Under Daniel Razon's leadership, UNTV was relaunched as the "public service channel." This was a new idea for Philippine Television.

In 2013, UNTV started using DJI Phantom drones for live news reporting. Also in 2013, UNTV stopped using its old tower. It began using a new digital-ready transmitter in Antipolo. This improved the signal. UNTV and Wish FM 107.5 share this new tower.

On June 26, 2014, UNTV started building its new headquarters. This new building is called the UNTV Broadcast Center. It is located in Quezon City, near the TriNoma mall.

On August 10, 2014, BMPI also took over PBC's FM radio station on 107.5 MHz. It was officially launched as 107.5 Wish FM (now Wish 1075). A free concert celebrated this launch.

On August 26, 2015, UNTV changed its name to UNTV Life. It also got a new logo. This was announced at a concert.

On July 18, 2016, UNTV changed its brand again. It became UNTV News and Rescue. The station kept its old slogan, "Your Public Service Channel." After this change, its programs were divided into two groups: UNTV News and Rescue, and UNTV Public Service.
