Discovering the Dallas Grand Prix Races

The Dallas Grand Prix had a short but interesting history. It was only held once as a Formula One race. Later, it became a regular event for the Trans-Am Series.

Formula One Race (1984)

The winner of this historic Formula One race was Keke Rosberg from Finland. He drove for the Williams team, powered by a Honda engine.

Trans-Am Series Races (1988-1996)

After a few years, the Dallas Grand Prix returned in 1988. This time, it was part of the Trans-Am Series. These races featured powerful sports cars.

The Trans-Am races were held at different places:

  • In 1988, it was still at Fair Park.
  • From 1989 to 1991, the races moved to Addison.
  • From 1993 to 1996, the event took place at Reunion Arena.
