Where Dana Bash Grew Up

Dana Bash was born Dana Ruth Schwartz in Manhattan, New York City. Her family is Jewish. Her mother, Frances Schwartz, was an author and teacher of Jewish studies. Her father, Stuart Schwartz, was a producer for ABC News. He worked on the show Good Morning America.

Dana's grandmother, Teri Vidor Weinman, was from Hungary. She and her husband came to the U.S. in 1941. Sadly, her grandmother's parents and sister died in a concentration camp in 1944.

Dana's family moved a few times. They lived in Teaneck, New Jersey, then Washington, D.C.. Later, they moved back to Montvale, New Jersey. Dana went to Pascack Hills High School in Montvale.
