He made 191 tackles, which means he stopped the player with the ball 191 times. He also had 44 tackles for loss, which means he stopped the player behind the line of scrimmage, making the other team lose yards. After high school, Darius decided to play college football at West Virginia University.
College Football Career
Darius started his college football journey with the West Virginia Mountaineers. In his first two years, he played in 21 games. He made 13 tackles and got one sack. A sack happens when a defensive player tackles the quarterback before they can throw the ball.

Before his senior year, he was chosen as the Big 12 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. This means experts thought he would be the best defensive player in his conference that year.
