Darryl Gerrod Hardy was born on November 22, 1968. He is a former American football player. Darryl played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played for teams like the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, and Seattle Seahawks. Before turning pro, he played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers.

Early Life and High School Football

Darryl Hardy went to Princeton High School. When he was a freshman, he played as a center on the offensive line. The next year, he moved to play offensive tackle.

As a senior, he became an All-state offensive guard. He weighed about 185 pounds then. In his very last high school game, he got to start as an outside linebacker. He made 15 tackles and 4.5 sacks in that game.

College Football Career

Darryl received a football scholarship from the University of Tennessee. He went there to play linebacker. In his second year, he became a starter at outside linebacker.

He had an amazing game against the University of Alabama. He made 20 tackles, which was one of the most in his school's history. Darryl finished his college career with 318 total tackles. He also had 227 solo tackles, which is ninth best in school history.

Darryl Hardy played for several teams in the NFL and CFL. He was known for his strong play as a linebacker.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons picked Darryl in the tenth round of the 1992 NFL draft. He was the 270th player chosen overall. He was later moved to the team's practice squad.

Ottawa Rough Riders

In 1994, Darryl signed with the Ottawa Rough Riders. This team played in the Canadian Football League. He was with them for a short time before moving on.

Dallas Cowboys (First Time)
