Firepower Records is an American independent record label. It focuses on electronic music. Datsik, the Canadian DJ and producer, started it in January 2012. The label is located in Los Angeles, California. It has been home to artists like Bear Grillz and Getter.
According to Sharra Grace Duggan, a former co-owner, Datsik started the label for a good reason. He wanted a place for new and established artists to release music. He wanted to support music that he truly liked and found inspiring. He also wanted artists to feel their ideas were important.
In December 2012, Firepower Records worked with Ultra Music Festival. They showcased a special mix of the label's music. Datsik was the DJ for this mix.
The record label often sends its artists to perform. They play at venues in different countries. Some places include Brown Alley in Melbourne and Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis.
In March 2018, Datsik stepped away from Firepower Records. He gave control of the label to Sharra Grace Duggan. On April 14, 2022, Datsik regained control and ownership of the label. While the label has not made new music since October 25, 2019, it is still legally active, but currently inactive in terms of new releases.
