David Grant became well-known in the early 1980s. He was part of a British soul and funk music group called Linx. Their most popular song was "Intuition" in 1981.
Starting a Solo Career
In 1983, David started singing on his own. His first hit song was "Stop and Go." He also had other popular songs like "Watching You Watching Me." He sang two famous duets with Jaki Graham. Their song "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" reached number five on the music charts in 1985. Later that year, their song "Mated" also became a top 20 hit.
David has also worked as a session singer. This means he sang backup or on recordings for other artists. Some of the famous people he worked with include Diana Ross and Rick Astley.

David Grant was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He moved to London, England, when he was a child in the late 1950s.
David and his wife Carrie have four children. Their children are named Olive, Tylan, Arlo, and an adopted son, Nathan. All of their children are neurodivergent, which means their brains work in different ways. David and Carrie are both Christian and lead a small church group from their home.
In 2019, David Grant was given a special award called the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). This award recognizes his important contributions.
