Depoe Bay is a small city in Lincoln County, Oregon, United States. It is located right on U.S. Route 101 and the Pacific Ocean. In 2020, about 1,515 people lived there.
The city is famous for its bay, which is a 6-acre (2.4 ha) harbor. People often call it "the world's smallest navigable harbor." This means it's a very small port where boats can easily travel in and out.

History of Depoe Bay
Depoe Bay gets its name from a Siletz Indian man named Charles "Charley" Depoe. His original name was Ki-sa Che-wes-cla. He was given land in this area in 1894. Some say he was called "Depot Charley" because he worked at a military supply place nearby. His family later became known as "DePoe."

Depoe Bay has experienced a few notable events:
- 2011 Tsunami: On March 11, 2011, a large tsunami (a giant ocean wave caused by an earthquake) hit the coast. This tsunami was caused by a powerful earthquake off the coast of Japan. It damaged Depoe Bay's harbor.
- 2017 Solar Eclipse: On August 21, 2017, Depoe Bay was one of the first places in the United States to see a total solar eclipse. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon completely blocks the Sun, making the sky dark in the middle of the day.
