Diana is a small town located in Lewis County, New York, in the United States. In 2010, about 1,709 people lived here. The town is on the northeastern edge of Lewis County, northeast of the city of Watertown. A part of Diana, in the northwest, is actually inside the Fort Drum military base.

History of Diana
The town of Diana was created in 1830. It was formed from a part of another town called Watson. Later, in 1841, some of Diana's land was used to help create the town of Croghan. The town was named after Diana, a goddess from ancient Roman stories.
Two important historical sites, the Alpina Archeological District and the Lewisburg Archeological District, were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. These places help us learn about the past.
Famous Person from Diana
- A very famous person named Joseph Bonaparte once lived in the town. He was the older brother of Napoleon, a famous French emperor. Joseph Bonaparte lived near Natural Bridge during his time in exile. A lake in the northern part of the town, called Lake Bonaparte, is named after him.
Geography of Diana
Diana covers a total area of about 140.8 square miles (364.7 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 137.1 square miles (355.08 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 3.7 square miles (9.67 square kilometers), is water.
A section of the Fort Drum Military Reservation is located in the northwestern part of the town. This is a large training area for the U.S. Army.
The northeastern border of Diana touches St. Lawrence County. The eastern border is shared with Herkimer County. The eastern part of the town is also inside the beautiful Adirondack Park, a large protected area.
New York State Route 3 is a main road that goes through the town. It connects with New York State Route 812 south of Remington Center. These highways run together for a short distance near the northeastern town line.
The Indian River flows out of the western side of Diana. This river is part of the larger Oswegatchie River system.
