Diana, Princess of Wales: Tribute is a special music album released in 1997. It was created to honor the memory of Diana, Princess of Wales. Many famous singers and bands contributed their songs to this album.
All the money made from selling this album went to the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. This charity was set up to continue Diana's important work. The album came out on December 2, 1997, as a double CD and cassette.
It features 36 songs from some of the biggest music stars. They shared both well-known and brand-new songs. These songs were dedicated to Diana, who had passed away a few months earlier, on August 31, 1997. Interestingly, Elton John's famous tribute song, "Candle in the Wind 1997", was not included on this album.
