Story of Digimon Frontier
The story of Digimon Frontier takes place in the "Digital World." This is a special parallel universe made from Earth's communication networks. Long ago, ten powerful Digimon, known as the "Legendary Warriors," gave up their lives to seal away an evil Digimon named Lucemon. Before they disappeared, they created twenty "Spirits" (ten Human Spirits and ten Beast Spirits) for different elements like fire, light, and ice.
These Spirits were left to be protected by three powerful Digimon: Ophanimon, Cherubimon, and Seraphimon. But Cherubimon turned evil and started to cause trouble in the Digital World. To stop him, Ophanimon called for help from the human world. Six children were chosen and brought to the Digital World to become the "DigiDestined."
The Adventure Begins
The five main DigiDestined children find their Human Spirits. They use these to "Spirit Evolve" and become Digimon themselves! As they search for their Beast Spirits, they meet other Legendary Warriors who are working for Cherubimon. After some battles, the DigiDestined defeat these warriors.
One of the DigiDestined, Koji, realizes that Cherubimon is working with his own twin brother, Koichi. Takuya and his friends manage to free Koichi and help him regain his powers. Koichi then joins their team.
They also rescue Ophanimon, but she sacrifices herself to help them. With her last bit of strength, Ophanimon upgrades Takuya and Koji's special devices, called D-Tectors. This allows them to combine their powers and become even stronger Digimon.
Facing Lucemon
After defeating Cherubimon, the DigiDestined learn that the truly evil Lucemon is still sealed away. Two powerful Digimon, Dynasmon and Crusadermon, are trying to collect all the data from the Digital World to awaken Lucemon. Takuya and Koji defeat these two, but it's too late. Lucemon breaks free!
Lucemon opens a portal to the real world. Koichi bravely sacrifices his power to help stop Lucemon from entering the human world. All the spirits combine to form the ultimate Legendary Warrior Digimon, Susanoomon. Susanoomon finally destroys Lucemon, which helps restore the Digital World.
The children return to the real world, finding that hardly any time has passed. They use the power of their D-Tectors to save Koichi's life. Their D-Tectors then turn back into regular cell phones. Takuya and his friends look forward to their future, knowing they saved two worlds.
