Disha Patani is a famous Indian actress. She mostly works in Hindi films, which are movies made in India. Disha started her acting journey in 2015 with a Telugu film called Loafer. Her first Hindi movie was M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016.
Since then, she has been in many popular movies. Some of her well-known films include Baaghi 2 (2018), Bharat (2019), and Malang (2020). She also appeared in the Chinese action movie Kung Fu Yoga (2017). More recently, she was seen in Kalki 2898 AD (2024) and Kanguva (2024). Disha Patani is a well-recognized face in the Indian film industry.

Disha Patani's Early Life
Disha Patani was born on June 13, 1992, in a city called Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, India. Her family comes from a group of people called Kumaoni Rajputs.
Her father, Jagadish Singh Patani, is a police officer. Her mother works as a health inspector. Disha has an older sister named Khushboo Patani, who is an officer in the Indian Army. She also has a younger brother named Suryansh Patani. Before becoming an actress, Disha studied engineering at Amity University in Lucknow. She also took part in a beauty pageant called Pond's Femina Miss India in Indore in 2013, where she was the first runner-up.
Her Acting Journey
Starting Out (2015–2020)
Disha Patani began her acting career in 2015 with the Telugu film Loafer. In this movie, she played a girl named Mouni who runs away from home. The film was directed by Puri Jagannadh.
The next year, Disha appeared in a music video called Befikra. She starred alongside actor Tiger Shroff in this video. It was produced by T-Series.

Disha got her big break with the Hindi film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016. This movie was about the life of MS Dhoni, a famous Indian cricket captain. Disha played the role of Priyanka Jha, Dhoni's girlfriend in the film. The movie was a huge success. Many people praised Disha's performance. She even won an award for Star Debut of the Year Female at the 18th IIFA Awards. After this, she also appeared in the international film Kung Fu Yoga with Jackie Chan.
In 2018, Disha starred in Baaghi 2 with Tiger Shroff. This was a sequel to another popular film. The movie was known for its action scenes and did very well at the box office. Critics said Disha looked beautiful in the film.
In 2019, Disha had a small role in the action-drama film Bharat. This movie starred Salman Khan and was also a big success. In 2020, she was the lead in the action thriller Malang. Critics liked the film's music and action. They also said Disha gave a "heartwarming performance." Later in 2020, she made a special appearance in a song for the film Baaghi 3.
Recent Projects (2021–Present)
In 2021, Disha worked with Salman Khan again in the film Radhe. This movie was released online because of the COVID-19 pandemic. While many people watched it, the film received mixed reviews.
In 2022, Disha played a salesgirl in the thriller film Ek Villain Returns. She starred alongside John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor. The movie received mixed reviews and did not perform well at the box office.
In 2024, Disha appeared in the film Yodha. In this movie, she played a terrorist disguised as an air hostess. Some critics praised her action scenes, saying she could be a "potential action star." However, the film did not do very well commercially.
Later in 2024, Disha found success with the Telugu film Kalki 2898 AD. She played a character named Roxie. This film was a huge success and became one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year. It was Disha's first big success since 2020. After this, she also acted in her first Tamil film, Kanguva, where she played a bounty hunter.
