Dominique Dion Davis (born July 17, 1989) is an American professional football player. He plays as a quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He first joined the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) in 2012. Before that, Davis played college football at Boston College, Fort Scott Community College, and East Carolina University.

Early Life and High School Football
Dominique Davis grew up playing football. In high school, he was a top quarterback. During his senior year in 2006, he threw for 2,758 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also played basketball and ran track.
College Football Career
Playing for Boston College
Davis started his college career at Boston College. He didn't play in 2007, as Matt Ryan was the main quarterback. In 2008, Davis got a chance to play. He stepped in during a game against the University of Central Florida. He also played against the University of Rhode Island.
Later that season, in a game against Wake Forest, Davis took over when the starting quarterback got hurt. He helped his team win a close game. His first win as a starter was on November 28, 2008. This victory helped Boston College reach the 2008 ACC Championship Game.
Time at Fort Scott Community College
In 2009, Davis moved to Fort Scott Community College. He planned to play there for one season. He helped his team win their first conference championship since 1974. They also won their first-ever Region VI Playoff championship.
Fort Scott was ranked number one nationally. They played against Blinn College for the national championship. Blinn won a very close game, 31-26. Even with the loss, Fort Scott finished with a great 11–1 record.
Success at East Carolina University
Davis then transferred to East Carolina University for the 2010 season. In his first game, he threw for 383 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown. He even threw a "Hail Mary" pass to win a game against Tulsa.
That year, Davis threw for 3,967 yards and 37 touchdowns. This was one of the most touchdowns by a college quarterback that season. He led the Pirates to a bowl game.
In 2011, Davis set a new NCAA record. He completed 36 passes in a row over two games. This broke the old record of 26. He holds the record for most passing touchdowns in a single season for East Carolina with 37.

Professional Football Career

Atlanta Falcons
In 2012, Davis joined the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. He was signed after the draft, meaning no team picked him directly. He became the third-string quarterback. He played in one game, completing 5 of 7 passes for 34 yards. He left the team in 2014.
Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts
Davis briefly played for the Tennessee Titans in 2014. He then signed with the Indianapolis Colts later that year. He was released by the Colts in October 2014.
Calgary Stampeders
In 2015, Davis signed with the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL. He was released during their training camp before the season started.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Davis joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in June 2015. He played in only one game in his first two seasons. In 2017, he played in three games. He completed 17 of 29 passes for 208 yards. He left the Blue Bombers in 2018.
Ottawa Redblacks
In 2018, Davis signed with the Ottawa Redblacks. He became the backup quarterback. He also played in short-yardage situations, where he scored 6 rushing touchdowns. He started one game that season.
In 2019, Davis became the Redblacks' starting quarterback. He helped the team win their first two games. However, he later got a minor injury. He continued to play but was sometimes benched. The Redblacks finished the season with only 3 wins.
Davis signed another contract with the Redblacks for 2021. He started the season as a backup. He later became the starting quarterback for two games. He was released by the Redblacks in January 2022.
Montreal Alouettes (First Time)
Davis signed with the Montreal Alouettes in February 2022. He was mainly used as a short-yardage specialist. This means he would come into the game for short plays, often to run for a first down or a touchdown. He was very good at this, scoring 13 rushing touchdowns that season.
BC Lions
In 2023, Davis signed a one-year contract with the BC Lions. He was the third-string quarterback. He continued his role as a short-yardage player. He scored his first touchdown with the Lions against Winnipeg. He became a free agent in February 2024.
Montreal Alouettes (Second Time)
Davis returned to the Montreal Alouettes in August 2024. He signed with the team after another quarterback got injured.
