Donald John Trump Jr. (born December 31, 1977), often called Don Jr., is an American businessman. He is the oldest child of U.S. president-elect Donald Trump and his first wife Ivana Trump.
Early life
Donald Trump Jr. was born on December 31, 1977, in Manhattan, New York City. His parents are Ivana and Donald Trump. He has two younger siblings, Ivanka and Eric. He also has two half-siblings, Tiffany and Barron.
Trump Jr. went to Buckley School and The Hill School. He then studied at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. He earned a degree in Economics in 2000.
Career
After college in 2000, Trump Jr. spent a year in Aspen, Colorado. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and skiing there. He also worked as a bartender.
Later, he joined the Trump Organization in New York. He helped manage building projects like 40 Wall Street. He also appeared on his father's TV show, The Apprentice. He was a guest adviser and "judge" on many episodes from 2006 to 2015.
Trump Jr. was an executive vice president at the Trump Organization. He ran the company with his younger brother Eric.
He was very active in his father's presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020. He spoke at rallies to support his father.
In 2023, Trump Jr. started his own podcast called Triggered with Don Jr. It is available on the platform Rumble. In December 2024, he joined the board of directors for PublicSquare.
Books
Donald Trump Jr. has written two books. His first book, Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us, came out in 2019. It became a New York Times best-seller. His second book, Liberal Privilege: Joe Biden and the Democrats' Defense of the Indefensible, was published in 2020.
Personal life
Family

In 2003, Trump Jr. started dating model Vanessa Kay Haydon. They got married on November 12, 2005, at his father's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. They have five children: Kai Madison (born 2007), Donald John III (born 2009), Tristan Milos (born 2011), Spencer Frederick (born 2012), and Chloe Sophia (born 2014). Their oldest daughter, Kai, is named after her great-grandfather, Kai Ewans.
In 2018, Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa separated. Their divorce was finalized at the end of 2018.
Since 2018, Trump Jr. has been dating Kimberly Guilfoyle. They had known the Trump family for many years. They became engaged on December 31, 2020. However, they ended their engagement in 2024.
In December 2021, Trump Jr. changed his official home from New York to Florida.
Hunting
Donald Trump Jr. enjoys hunting very much. In February 2020, he agreed to go on a hunting trip in Alaska. This trip was part of a fundraising auction for the Safari Club International.
