Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle (born March 9, 1969) is an American television personality and former prosecutor. She worked in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She also served as an advisor and helped with fundraising for President Donald Trump's 2020 presidential campaign.

Guilfoyle studied at the University of California, Davis, and the University of San Francisco School of Law. There, she earned a law degree. She became a prosecuting attorney in California. She was an assistant district attorney in San Francisco from 2000 to 2004. From 2001 to 2006, she was married to politician Gavin Newsom. She was the First Lady of San Francisco during his first two years as mayor. She was also engaged to Donald Trump Jr., but their relationship has ended.

Guilfoyle worked at Fox News from 2006 to 2018. She was a co-host on the show The Five. Later, she joined America First Policies, a group that supports Donald Trump. She helped campaign for Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections. On December 10, 2024, President Trump nominated her to be the U.S. ambassador to Greece.

Early Life and Education

Kimberly Guilfoyle was born in San Francisco, California, on March 9, 1969. Her mother was Puerto Rican. Her father was born in Ireland and moved to the United States when he was 20. She was raised Catholic.

She grew up in the Mission District of San Francisco. She also lived in Westlake, Daly City.

Guilfoyle's mother, Mercedes, taught special education. She passed away from leukemia when Kimberly was 11 years old. Her father, Anthony "Tony" Guilfoyle, was born in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland. He moved to the United States in 1957. In 1958, he joined the U.S. Army and served for four years. After leaving the army, he worked in construction. He later became a real estate investor.

Guilfoyle graduated from San Francisco's Mercy High School. She then attended the University of California, Davis. She received her law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994. While in law school, she worked as an intern at the San Francisco district attorney's office. She also did some modeling for a department store and a bridal magazine.

She later studied at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. While there, Guilfoyle researched international children's rights. She also studied European Economic Community law.

After law school, Guilfoyle taught in a public school district. She also worked briefly as a prosecutor in San Francisco. In 1996, she lost her job when a new district attorney was elected.

Guilfoyle then worked for four years in Los Angeles. She was a deputy district attorney, handling cases involving adults and young people. She received several awards for her work in Los Angeles.

In 2000, she was hired back by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. She worked as an assistant district attorney from 2000 to 2004. During this time, she helped prosecute an important legal case in 2002. This case received international attention.

In January 2004, Guilfoyle moved to New York. She hosted a show called Both Sides on Court TV. She also worked as a legal expert on Anderson Cooper 360°. In February 2006, she joined Fox News. She hosted a weekend show called The Lineup.

Later, in 2011, she became a co-host of The Five. She worked on this show until 2018. In 2014, she also started hosting Outnumbered. She appeared on this show for many episodes. Guilfoyle also had a regular segment on The O'Reilly Factor.

In mid-2017, Guilfoyle signed a new long-term contract with Fox News. However, in July 2018, she suddenly left the network. She then began working for a group that supports Donald Trump. Reports later said that she was asked to resign from Fox News.

Writing Books

In 2015, Guilfoyle wrote a book called Making the Case: How to Be Your Own Best Advocate. It was published by HarperCollins. The book shared her experiences growing up and working as a prosecutor. It encouraged people to speak up for themselves.

In April 2024, Guilfoyle announced a new book. It is a children's book she wrote called The Princess and her Pup. A portion of the sales from this book will go to a group that helps animals.

In December 2016, there were reports that Guilfoyle might become President Donald Trump's press secretary. This job eventually went to Sean Spicer. Guilfoyle later confirmed she had talked with the White House about the position. She said it would be an honor to serve the country. However, she decided to stay with Fox News at that time.

In 2020, Guilfoyle was reported to be in charge of the finance committee for the Trump Victory Committee. She helped raise money for the Trump campaign. She also advised the campaign and spoke at events.

In August 2020, Guilfoyle gave a speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention. Some people described her speech as very passionate.

On January 6, 2021, Guilfoyle joined President Trump and others at a rally in Washington, D.C. This rally was called the "Save America March." She helped organize the protest at the Capitol.

In December 2001, Kimberly Guilfoyle married politician Gavin Newsom. He was a supervisor in San Francisco at the time. Newsom became mayor of San Francisco in 2003. During their marriage, she used the name Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom. They appeared in a magazine in 2004. Guilfoyle and Newsom separated later that year. Their divorce was finalized in February 2006.

On May 27, 2006, Guilfoyle married Eric Villency. On October 4, 2006, they had a son named Ronan. Guilfoyle and Villency divorced in November 2009.

In June 2018, it was confirmed that Guilfoyle was dating Donald Trump Jr.. In 2019, they bought a home together in The Hamptons. They sold it in 2021. In March 2021, they bought another home together in Jupiter, Florida. Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. became engaged on December 31, 2020. The news of their engagement was shared in January 2022. They lived together in their Florida home.

In 2024, Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. ended their romantic relationship.
