How Donohue Pass Got Its Name

The pass and a nearby mountain, Donohue Peak, were named in 1895. They were named after a person called Sargent Donohue. He was part of Troop K, 4th Cavalry. Sargent Donohue was the first person known to climb Donohue Peak. Naming places after people who explored them was a common practice back then.
