Duttaphrynus is a group of toads. They are known as "true toads." These toads live in many parts of Asia. You can find them in southwestern and southern China. This includes Taiwan and Hainan island.
They also live across southern Asia. Their home ranges from northern Pakistan and Nepal through India to Sri Lanka. You can also find them on Andaman Island, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, and Bali.
What Do Duttaphrynus Toads Look Like?
These toads have special heads. They have bony ridges on their heads. Their nose area is short and blunt. This means it is not pointy.
Their first finger is longer than their second finger. Their toes are partly webbed. This means there is some skin between their toes. The toads are usually brown on top. Their undersides are yellow. They often have brown patterns on their yellow bellies.
Different Kinds of Duttaphrynus Toads
